About the Artist
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Eugenia was trained as a registered nurse and midwife right after graduated from high school. 7 years later, she entered the world of business by running a successful Die Casting factory that manufactured antique automobile replacement parts for Ford Model A & T. After immigrating to Vancouver, Canada in 1976, she co-founded a successful pool and spa business and was the first company to manufacture Insulated Spa Cover in the country and eventually, branched out to enjoy a lucrative career in real estate for more than a decade before retiring in 2009.
JEWELRY MAKING
Eugenia discovered her passion entirely by accident. In 2007, she came across a publication called “Bead on A Wire” written by American wire artist, Sharilyn Miller. She was totally intrigued with the style of highly ornate and complex level of wire wrapping. Since then, she traveled to the States more then a dozen times to learn from masters in different fields. Eugenia continues to study and hone her skills in metalsmithing till formally retired in 2022.

Eugenia’s tools are distributed by Euro Tool, Inc. of America and are available on her online STORE or major Jewelry retailers.
Early 2022, after celebrating her 83rd birthday, she decided to put her jewelry making aside to pursue further with her love of photography and painting.
TOOL INVENTOR
In 2011, a new chapter began that could become her most exciting one of all, the chapter called Tool Inventor. Having always appreciated high-quality, precision tools during her working life, it was frustrating to work with tools that were awkward and sometimes ineffective. With her manufacturing background, it wasn’t long before Eugenia started designing her own tools to make her work easier, smoother, more efficient, but the most important of all more enjoyable. She first created “The Torch/Kiln Basket & Handle Set for Enameling,” followed by her innovative “Deluxe 3 Hole Metal Punch”,” Deluxe 4 Hole Metal Punch” &” Multi-Purpose Steel Riveting Block”.
In 2016, she added 5 more new ones to her unique line of tools. They are ” Torch Enamel Basket”, “Titanium Bezel Soldering Grip”, “Titanium Bezel & Ring Shank Soldering Holder Set of 3”, “Double Hex Nut Wrench”, “Aluminum Enameling Spatula” & ” Acrylic Enameling Stencils”. Lastly in 2020, she invented the “Multi-Angle Cutting Jig” which was patented a year later. She considered that achievement as the highlight of her life-long career! Her innovations have been featured in popular magazine, “Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist”. She is excited and humbled for the hugely positive response received.
